NOTICE OF 2024 HGSA AGM and AGM Pack
This year’s AGM will be held on Wednesday October 23rd, 7.30pm Upstairs Lounge, Laund Hill Sports Complex, HD3 3XF and will be followed by our Speakers Evening. We are planning for it to be with our Wagstaff Trophy winner but will confirm nearer the time.
Please find attached a copy of the pack for the meeting.
The pack is made up of the formal notice of the AGM and reports from the Chairman, Treasurer, Auditor and Secretary. We also include updates from our Events Manager and Social Media lead. One further item of business is the formal election of a Deputy Chair.
All Executive Committee posts with the exception of Deputy Chair were elected at last year’s AGM and are not due for re-election until the AGM 2025. During the year the vacant post of Deputy Chair was filled by the Executive Committee with Janice Hart being appointed. Janice is standing for formal election to this post at the AGM. It is of course open for others to stand for this role. Anyone else wishing to stand must advise the HGSA Secretary of their name and also provide the name of a proposer and a seconder all who must be paid up members of the HGSA. These must be received a minimum of 10 days before the meeting, no later than 14th October. If more than one nomination is received for the role and they meet the above requirements there will be a vote on the night.
If you have any important issues you would like to raise under Any Other Business (AOB) at the AGM please provide details to the HGSA Secretary again with a minimum of 10 days notice, no later than 14th October.
