An open message from the HGSA Committee.
YOUR HGSA NEEDS YOU!!!
The HGSA is on target to deliver a record-breaking cheque of over £30,000 to the Club this year. Our hard-working Committee and volunteers have been beavering away to raise funds and create a fun environment – which we would like to think we have achieved.
This year, two of our long-standing committee members have made the decision to step back from their current roles, and we need YOU to replace them!
The HGSA have a fantastic, loyal, hard-working committee and volunteer pool, but the reality is there are not enough of us to maintain the success we have previously achieved.
Despite many pleas, we have failed to attract new people to join us – either as committee members helping us to make important decisions – or as volunteers helping out with our events.
We have tried to target younger people to our group, notably the under 30 age group, to hopefully bring fresh new ideas to the organisation, but again this has failed to happen. If you are a true Giants’ supporter and fit into this category, we’d love to have you on board, especially if you are someone who has social media skills. That would be a huge bonus. However, more importantly we need people with enthusiasm to complement our existing team.
If you have considered joining us before but not taken it any further, then please re-consider doing so now as the reality is that the HGSA will no longer be able to offer our members the activities they currently have, without more help.
We would hate to see all our hard work over the last few years come undone and really would appreciate more help!
With our AGM on the horizon (8th October), now is the perfect chance to join our dedicated team. We work hard but we also enjoy our meetings and social events. It would be wonderful if more people could join us to enable us to perform in our current guise. The Committee meet generally once a month on a Wednesday evening.
