Following Martin Eastwood’s decision to step down from the role and not stand for Re-Election, Richard Jackson was duly elected by the members present to serve as the new HGSA Chairman at our Annual General Meeting, until 2027.
Richard will take over the reigns immediately and will look to carry on the great work done by Martin during his term as chair.
Speaking on his appointment, Richard said
“I’m really grateful to the committee and members for putting me forward and i’m honoured and proud that the members have put their faith in me in voting for me as their new chairman. I will do my level best to continue the brilliant work that Martin and the current committee have done to date.”
Following the conclusion of the AGM, HGSA Social media and Marketing Manager, Lee Stanley, presented outgoing Chairman, Martin, with a gift of appreciation on behalf of the committee, in paying tribute Lee said
“All of us at the HGSA would just like to express our sincere gratitude for the invaluable time and effort that Martin has dedicated voluntarily to our organisation. Your commitment and generosity have not gone unnoticed and are deeply appreciated by all of us.
Your selfless contribution has played a pivotal role in helping us achieve our goals and make a significant impact in Huddersfield Giants community. It is truly inspiring to witness such dedication and passion for our cause. Your willingness to give your time and energy without any expectation of reward is a testament to your character and the values you hold dear.
On behalf of everyone at the Huddersfield Giants Supporters Association, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to you. Your support has made a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued involvement. We have been fortunate to have someone like you as part of our team, and we look forward to carrying on from the bench mark you have set and making even greater strides in the future.”
Following the AGM, all other executive roles remain unchanged, the General committee will be formed in the coming weeks.
