
HGSA Events Manager – Role Description
The role of Events Manager within the HGSA is a fun, rewarding, and vital position. Most of our fundraising comes from the success of our events, which currently include:

The annual Twenty20 Cricket Day

The Fans Party & Squad Launch

Monthly Speakers Evenings
-
Fans Forums
These events are hugely popular with both members and supporters, making the Events Manager’s role central to the HGSA’s success.
Key Responsibilities

Venue & Scheduling: Arrange dates and times with venues to host HGSA events.

Guest Sourcing: Secure guests for the monthly Speakers Evenings (typically Huddersfield Giants players, but also figures from across the Rugby League world).

Event Hosting: Devise engaging formats and host the Speakers Evenings at Laund Hill.

Club Liaison: Work with the club to confirm suitable dates for the Fans Forum, Fans Party, and Cricket Day (the latter also requires coordination with a cricket club).

Event Development: Propose new event ideas that may appeal to members and present them to the committee for approval.

Confident in public speaking and comfortable engaging with audiences.

Well-organised and reliable, with good time management.

Creative in developing event formats and experiences.

Committed to supporting the HGSA and its fundraising aims.

Able to work collaboratively with the committee and external partners.
