The Giants’ second home game of the 2024 sees Hull Kingston Rovers visit Huddersfield for a ‘treble’ and as usual, that means that HGSA will be busy, but we like being busy!

The Academy boys kick off the days events when the face their Hull KR counterparts at Laund Hill, with a 10.30am kick off, please go and support them if you can, admission is £6 for adults and £2 for U16’s.

Next up at the John Smith’s Stadium is the start of a “double”, our women take on their Rovers counterparts in a challenge cup group stage clash, the game kicks off at 12.00pm, so feel free to give and give the girls a cheer and take in a womens game if you haven’t already?

Things really get underway 2 hours before the Super League game, the Legends bar and Fanzone will be open from 1pm, as usual, there will be half price on all drinks at Legends for HGSA members, remember, get there early for a seat and a half price drink!

Our famous “Brian Blacker Roadshow” is back and this week’s guest is Joe Greenwood, this should be around 2.15 so get along and see and hear Joe (although it’s really about Brian!).

We will also be hosting another round of our FANtastic quiz, will you get on the leaderboard this week? come along to Legends bar and find out,

One new feature we have for this season is members of the squad will be in and around the Fanzone which is located outside the Core stand and will once again feature the outside bar, Oxen merchandise truck, Giants Community trust inflatable goalposts, and the Pro squad cheerleadersDJ’s from the Hart with the entertainment, Burger Burger Honley will be dishing up their succulent burgers again and we also welcome back OMGee Bakes, if you fancy a hot drink or a caffeine shot then It’s a grind coffee van from RL’s very own Jordan Lilley, Oh and BIG G will be around too, you can’t miss him!
We understand we will have the following players in and around the Fanzone at tomorrow’s game:
  • Connor Carr
  • Matty English
  • Jack Bibby
  • George Flanagan
  • Hugo Salabio
Want a selfie with them? No problem. Fancy challenging them on the inflatable kicking game? Game on! Sign your shirt, autograph book? Of course they will.
The lads will be around the fan zone for a good hour so keep an eye out for them, please do support the Fanzone. The more we use it, the more we can add later.
It’s a great opportunity to be there early to grab some food and drink, mix with friends over a beer and interact with the players. Kids, young and old will love getting close up with the players.
So come on down early, soak in the atmosphere of game day and get ready to cheer the team on to hopefully our first home win of the season and a treble all round!
